Homecoming at Philippi Baptist Church was celebrated yesterday. What a beautiful day it was for the weather and for worship! Following the worship service a dedication ceremony was held for our new Bicentennial sidewalk. Several months ago, we began a memorial brick program. Engraved bricks were offered to purchase in memory or honor of someone or an event. The program was a fund raiser to offset the cost of replacing and upgrading our front entrance with a new sidewalk, landscaping, and repairs as well as to support our upcomping Bicentennial Celebration to be held in February 2014. So, on this day, the congregation and guests gathered together to watch as members of the bicentennial planning committee cut the ribbon on the beautiful new sidewalk.
